Wicksford Kennels was established in 1970 by June and George O'Neil, at their home in the lovely village of Wickford, RI. Though they began as breeders of St. Bernards, a request from their son Patrick for a field spaniel brought Wimsey Field Marshall to Wicksford, and a lifelong passion for the breed to George and June.

Clumber Spaniels soon followed the Field Spaniels to Wicksford. The O'Neils imported Ch Raycroft Sheriff from England, and he went on to win many awards, becoming the first Clumber Spaniel to win Best in Show at the American Spaniel Club Flushing Spaniel Show.

Wicksford dogs can be found in the pedigrees of many of today's Field Spaniels. The O'Neils are proud of the accomplishments of their dogs in all areas of performance. They strive to produce a healthy Field Spaniel that will not only be competitive in the show ring, but also a wonderful, long lived companion.
